Community Threads’ Story
Our founding members wanted to strengthen the fabric of our communities by weaving the talents of our members together to give back to our communities. Thanks to the community and the support of all our generous volunteers, we are able to continue warming the hearts and bodies of our community by providing handcrafted and donated items of comfort, warmth and dignity.
Since its launch, Community Threads has grown from 11 members to 54 members. In its first six months since its inception in November 2022, we provided 2,269 handcrafted items in addition to 4,099 articles of clothing. And we were just getting started! Check out our most current impact numbers.
The support of the community, volunteers, members, and donors has made a lasting impact on Community Threads, and we are more determined than ever to return the favor and continue to serve the needs of the community and effect immeasurably the lives of the recipients.
Always inspired to serve the needs of our community, our members volunteer their time and their talents to make exceptional items and donate clothing to fill the needs of our community. Names connect each of us to our own identity and have the ability to convey power, responsibility, and blessings. The name for our nonprofit was carefully crafted just like our handcrafted items. Each element from the words to the colors and images used have great significance and have been intricately woven together to strengthen the fabric of our communities. We strive to put the needs of our community first while we provide a positive and lasting impact warming the hearts and bodies of our community. Our organization consists solely of volunteers who are focused on putting the needs of the inclusive community first; as our group continues to expand, we strive to grow our impact to other organizations and geographical areas in stride.
There’s no better feeling than making a difference in the lives of those in our communities. Together we can accomplish great things and touch many lives!
